Hi! I'm Simon

I'm a freelance UX designer who helps tech businesses and startups design digital products and experiences. This includes my own digital startup ShopNote.

I work across the whole UX spectrum. This includes planning and moderating user research, creating prototypes and crafting hi-fidelity UI designs.

I've worked within a variety of sectors including fintech, travel, eCommerce, and music. Some clients I've previously worked with include:

Currently I'm working as a UX consultant for CarFinance 247. I'm helping them to improve the experience of their internal sales and CRM tools.

Previously, I was a UX Design Lead at MAG-O, Manchester Airport Group's digital division. There I oversaw the user experience for three of their product teams.

And prior to that, I was a UX designer for digital agency RetroFuzz. There I worked on eCommerce sites and mobile apps for music and fashion brands. This included Lee Jeans, Wrangler and NOW That's What I Call Music. I also designed an eCommerce site for race car brand Ginetta – pretty cool right?

Outside of UX freelancing, I work on my own projects.

One is a SaaS startup called ShopNote. It's a blogging tool built for affiliate marketing (and it's the same software powering this site!).

The other is uxgigs.co. It's a job board and newsletter for UX freelancers and contractors.
